Star Trek: The Next Generation / Dallas opening theme

This is an 'oldie but goodie' from my collection that I ran across again while sifting through my stuff today. Just brilliant, to me.

If you "trek" then you understand all the little "in-jokes" in each one of the 'panels' of this video (ex. why it's funny that Data is laughing, since it's so very out-of-character for him or the panel on the right of Dr Crusher's, etc.) .. Just brilliant.

"Surprise" Wedding Entrance Dance

I expect this one will be going viral soon enough. Pretty cute though.

UPDATE (7/27): Apparently I called this one - It went from 80k to 8 million views in 4 days (and climbing).

"In your FACE!"

courtesy:istockphoto.com

TREND-WATCH: There seems to be a disturbing decline in "big face" images on the 'net lately. You know: the ones that you see in advertisements, corporate presentations, etc. whose design is to "annoy you just enough to get you to look" and beg you to punch them. I'm not sure who thought this was a good idea to begin with but I've never been happier to see a trend quietly die more than I have this one.

Meme Formula - Rev 1.0

I've been giving thought to present-day meme's and their mode of evolution.
I thought I might try to identify the calculation for an optimal meme.

The formula above is my first attempt.

"Rap Chop" featuring Vince (Steve Porter's Slap Chop remix)

There are some really talented folks out there.
(The DJ / composer, not Vince.)

UPDATE (June): Vince swears off the hookers

"Granny stole from church"

????

I was scavenging the news this morning and the story pictured above reminded me of a blog that never took off and I don't really understand why.

http://wtfcnn.blogspot.com/ highlight(ed) the ridiculous headline titles that CNN uses to draw an audience. It doesn't appear to be active anymore. :(
